Services that AM Biotechnologies offers include contract discovery of thioaptamer binding agents to customer-provided targets as well as small scale synthesis of oligonucleotides.   AM encourages customers who would like to convert their current aptamers into dithioate oligos to consider having AM synthesize and purify their improved dithioate oligos - at least initially. AM chemists and process specialist will be happy to assist those who prefer to perform the conversion on their own.  Additionally, AM chemists are available to develop new reagents and linker chemistries for our customers.

Contract Thioaptamer Discovery

AM Biotechnologies can discover thioaptamers for you.

  • Identify the sequence and dithioate backbone modifications that provide the best performance characteristics for customer-selected targets
    • Customer provides the target (amount varies) and information regarding special requirements
    • AM will select the sequence and backbone modifications that best meet customer requirements
    • AM will test the best sequences and dithioate modifications that were discovered and deliver a small quantity of thioaptamer along with the sequence/modification information
    • Typically, the customer owns the intellectual property of the discovered thioaptamer; however, AM will discuss other arrangements if desired
  • Convert aptamers to thioaptamers (dithioated oligonucleotides)
    • Improve nuclease resistance
    • Enhance binding affinity
    • Make achiral

Oligonucleotide Production

AM Biotechnologies will synthesize and purify small quanties (milligrams) of dithioate or other oligos. Larger quantities are available through our partner The Oligo Factory.
